Lancaster University Management School appoints new MBA Director

Chris replaces Oliver Westall who has retired after 40 years service at Lancaster University.  Chris previously directed Executive Education programmes for Lancaster’s corporate and non-profit clients. He was Lancaster’s Deputy MBA Director between 2003 and 2005. As Director of the MBA programme at LUMS, Chris will be responsible for ensuring that the Lancaster MBA continues to be one of the leading MBA programmes in the world.
 

£1m on offer to entrepreneurs in international competition

The University is part of a consortium running the China UK Entrepreneurship Competition, which is also led by local government organisations in Chongging and Tianjin.

Lancaster University Management School Attracts Creative Leaders from Australia

Three indigenous creative leaders, Alisa Duff, Peter White and Tina Baum were awarded places on the inaugural ACCELERATE Indigenous Australian Creative Leadership Programme and spent five weeks in the UK in November.  During this time they participated in the UK creative sector in a practical way through placements, as well as a range of leadership development opportunities which included time at Forrest Hills, a centre at the edge of the Forest of Bowland near Lancaster.
 

Lancaster University Management School Opens New Executive Development Centre

Where traditional executive programmes are more content based, programmes run through the Centre for Personal Development will encourage executives to take an ‘inside-out’ approach to their advancement. Individuals are provided with the environment, support and resources they need and are challenged to evaluate the ways in which they currently manage their business and look at how that maps to future business imperatives.

Global Management Development Programme Strengthens International HIV/AIDS Alliance Mission

Along with four other senior managers, Milly Katana, who heads up the Uganda country office, will shortly begin the third module of the International Masters in Practicing Management (IMPM). The programme is designed to equip existing managers with advanced skills in leadership and organizational strategy. Having already completed modules at LUMS and McGill University in Montreal, Milly will fly out to the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore later this month for the next phase of her learning.

LUMS launches new leadership programme for Scotland's public sector

Lancaster University Management School has launched a new programme designed to deliver 'joined up' public services across Scotland. The new programme, jointly developed with the Scottish Leadership Foundation, is called Collaborative Leadership for Scotland and is aimed at senior managers and leaders in Scotland's public services.
