DRA removal is a wake-up call for UK employers

New Cranfield course challenges conventional approach to project leadership

That is the conclusion of experts at Cranfield School of Management, home to the International Centre for Programme Management (ICPM) which boasts Europe’s largest specialist faculty in the field of programme and project management.

A new two-day course from Cranfield ‘Leading Successful Projects and Programmes in Fast Changing Environments’ aims to combat this issue by combining the very latest thinking about the behaviours that underpin effectiveness in global project and programme management, especially those in complex environments, with real life examples.

The award programme that has been running for 19 years is organised by Cranfield School of Management in partnership with the magazine Works Management.  The awards reward manufacturing excellence in the UK.

Development Programme for Executive Education Providers 2010/2011

Overview

The DPXED is designed for a cohort of individuals in business schools who design, deliver and develop programmes for executives and organisations. DPXED explores the executive education landscape, the positioning of business schools, market segmentation, business development, pitching, negotiating, faculty capabilities, incentives and relationships, customisation, social learning, systems and infrastructure, as well as topics requested by participants on the DPXED.

Business students set sail to Cowes for 19th Cranfield Regatta

The event is organised each year by MBA (Master of Business Administration) students from Cranfield School of Management in Bedfordshire and is now the longest-running event of its kind in Europe.  The regatta provides an opportunity for MBA students and alumni from some of Europe’s leading business schools to put into practice some of the leadership and organisational skills learnt on their MBA programmes as well as have fun.

Winner of European Business Plan of the Year Competition announced

The venture aims to improve the quality of life for people with sensory disabilities. Their main product, ‘Touch & Hear’, is a multi-functional bracelet that can be used to identify objects by reproducing a recognizable sound for each object detected.

Social Entrepreneurs Offered Bursaries

In businesses where profit is not necessarily the primary motive, the level of financial investment required to participate in the BGP can be a constraint. Coutts is therefore leading this bursary scheme which will provide up to five social entrepreneurs with a substantial contribution towards the cost of participating in the programme. This is the second time that Coutts has contributed to the scheme which previously saw two social entrepreneurs, Jason Holt of Holts Gems and Uday Thakker of Red Ochre, go through the programme.  

Cranfield to host Europe’s MBA Business Plan of the Year Competition

The EBPYC is Europe’s longest running MBA business plan competition, designed to encourage entrepreneurship and new business ventures.  The event will be held on 28 - 29 May 2010 at the Cranfield School of Management campus in Bedfordshire, UK.
