Organisations Fail to Motivate Their Staff -0 New Survey by Ashridge

The survey reveals a discrepancy between the motivating factors cited by organisations compared to those cited by individual managers. The factor rated highest for managers is challenging and interesting work, whilst organisations rank performance related pay and incentive schemes as the number one motivator.  A high basic salary (ranked 3rd by managers) does not appear in the top 5 motivators for organisations.

Henley Management College and the University of Reading Enter into Discussions Over Potential Merger

Under the terms of the potential merger, Henley Management College would combine its operations with the University of Reading, forming a significant institution which is capable of taking Henley’s world ranking even higher than it has achieved this year.

Having already completed modules at LUMS and McGill University in Montreal, Milly will fly out to the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore later this month for the next phase of her learning.

Ashridge Business School appoints new Director of Research

He will oversee research activities and output across Ashridge, from the development of teaching materials for MBA and executive education programmes through to the publishing and dissemination of research reports, books and articles.

Academic Links Strengthened with China and South Korea

The University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Les Ebdon, along with Harry Wang, Regional Director of the International Office, have returned from a visit to China and South Korea where they met with representatives to discuss building further relationships with Asian universities.

The University set up a partnership with the Beijing Normal University Zhuhai to allow students to study the first two years of their degree in China and to finish the final two years at Bedfordshire.
