The Global Alliance is the global umbrella organisation which links PR and communications professionals around the world through their professional institutions. Membership includes  institutes and organisations from every continent including the UK’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) of which Professor Gregory was President in 2004.  She is both the first academic to be awarded this position and the first woman.

Students from Newcastle University Business School have undertaken real-life marketing consultancy projects with businesses, charities and organisations across the region as part of the final stages of their Marketing and Management undergraduate degree.

Designed as a practical alternative to a standard dissertation, this project allows the Business School students to put into practice the lessons learnt throughout their time at University by providing free and practical advice on specific marketing briefs to local businesses.
