The Tomorrow’s MBA study was first run in 2009/2010 to try and understand if the economic recession, and the criticism that the MBA received following the collapse of several banks, had an impact on prospective MBA students. If anything the study suggested a strengthening of interest in the qualification, especially in Asia.

Exploring Social Mobility in the Retail Sector

The report was to investigate the factors which impact on career progression and the effect of these on the social mobility of Morrisons staff.

The research illustrates the potential of the retail sector for raising skills levels and providing an important contribution to developing human and social capital. The sector also provides employment opportunities for people from a variety of social backgrounds, often including local jobs for people living in disadvantaged communities.

Nottingham Business School Secures Chinese Partnership

A minimum of 15 senior executives from global communications companies, such as Motorola, will be undertaking a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) programme run by Nottingham Business School, part of Nottingham Trent University. The DBA at Nottingham Business School is designed for senior executives to apply the latest knowledge to their own organisations. It has been run with a variety of companies in up to ten countries across the globe.

LSBU successful in bid to deliver post graduate management programmes to government staff

LSBU will deliver MPA and MBA awards to government staff. We are the only London based university to have been selected to deliver both degrees on a part time and executive basis.

Jane Houzer, Executive Dean of the Business Faculty at LSBU says: “We are delighted to have succeeded in our bid to deliver these key professional qualifications to government staff. We greatly look forward to welcoming the first participants under the agreement.”
