Newcastle University Business School Works on $2m Project With The University of Central Florida

Morten Lau, Professor of Economics at Newcastle University Business School, who is a world authority on risk and its effects on human behaviour, will be part of an international team of researchers which includes members from the University of Central Florida and the University of Copenhagen.
“The idea is to look at toll charges and how they influence traffic behaviour through a variety of experimental methods,” said Professor Lau.

BU’s commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) has received global endorsement.

The United Nations Global Compact, which consists of leading members of the business and academic community, is the world’s largest voluntary initiative for increasing knowledge and understanding of corporate citizenship and its importance in the world economy. The UNGC agreement rests on ten principles, ranging from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Labour Standards through to anti-corruption.

Farm Businesses To Boost their Chances

Kent Business School at the University of Kent has joined forces with the IGD and the NFU to offer a special marketing course on Wednesday 6 May in Canterbury designed to challenge the way farmers and small food manufacturers look at the food they produce and how it is sold.

What’s more, the NFU has negotiated a 50% discount on the course for its members, bringing the cost down to just £50 for the one-day session.
