Paul Marshall Announced as the New Chief Executive of the Association of Business Schools

Professor Laing said:

“As the leading representative body for business schools in the UK, we are delighted to have been able to recruit a new chief executive of this calibre to replace Jonathan Slack. He will build on the foundations established by Jonathan, since the formation of the ABS in 1992.

Paul brings the set of skills, experiences and networks which will enable the ABS to deliver on its objectives of ensuring that the voice of the business school community is clearly heard within policy, business and university communities.

Lottery chief is new university chancellor

Dianne is a former student and lecturer at the university and is now chief executive officer of the Camelot Group of Companies.
 
Accepting the privilege to become the university’s third figurehead, she spoke of the power of higher education to transform lives, society and the economy.
 

EMDA's Legacy to live on at Nottingham Business School

emda will be closing in March 2012, and in order to ensure that the knowledge created through the Agency’s activities can continue to be made available to partners including Local Authorities and Local Enterprise Partnership (LEPs), it is establishing the emda Knowledge Bank in conjunction with Nottingham Business School.

The Global Alliance is the global umbrella organisation which links PR and communications professionals around the world through their professional institutions. Membership includes  institutes and organisations from every continent including the UK’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) of which Professor Gregory was President in 2004.  She is both the first academic to be awarded this position and the first woman.

Jonathan Slack Announces Retirement from ABS

Dear Colleagues,

I wanted to write to explain a forthcoming change at ABS. After nineteen years in the role of Chief Executive, I have decided for a combination of career, life and family reasons to retire this coming December. This will coincide with my sixtieth birthday and for many years this decision and timing has been part of my career plan.

Professor Williams is Emeritus Professor at Cass Business School, City University London.  His publications relate mainly to Human Resources Management (HRM) and organizational development, and more recently to leadership and organisational histories.
