Max Clifford Inspires UK Business School Alumni Network

The audience was made up of special guests and alumni from the following ABS members:

Lincoln Business School, Bath School of Management, Henley Business School, Strathclyde Business School, Birmingham City Business School, Kingston University Business School, Cardiff School of Management, Cardiff Business School, Nottingham University Business School, Ashridge Business School, Westminster Business School, Hull University Business School, School of Management at Leicester University, Oxford Brookes University Business School, School of Business and Management, Queen Mary University London and the ifs School of Finance.

Collectively the group represents over half a million professionals.

Max Clifford was extremely supportive of this new collaboration and said:

"It is great to see so many professionals from the business and management world all working together to hold events such as this for the greater good - that can only be a positive thing. Business students are going to play an important role in our future and I wholly support this venture". 

Vicky Robinson, Head of Marketing and Communications for the ABS added:

We are planning to put on joint events and career enhancing activities at venues around the world to engage with UK HE alumni globally and promote and add value to the UK HE Business School experience".    

Elly Sample, Director of Communications, Development and Marketing for the University of Lincoln is the current Chair of the Network and is thrilled at these new developments and says:

This is a significant step forward in Higher Education, as building strong university links will underpin success in the sector and we hope to expand the group and give all University Business Schools in UK the opportunity to invite their alumni to future events and shared activities".

The audience were enrapt by Max's presentation, after the event one alumi said:

"In my opinion ABS is bridging a gap, bringing business and management alumni under one roof offering great potential - not only to network but also to incubate any new ideas in the face of recession and bring it to reality".

Emerald Insight presented Max with a donation towards his chosen charity CHASE (Christopher's Children's Hospice) and a copy of the History of UK Business and Management, this plus a collection which was also taken on the night raised just under £2000 for Max's chosen charity.
