Annual Dearing Higher Education Conference
The theme for the third Annual Dearing Higher Education Conference on 23 February will be ‘The business growth benefits of higher education’.
Each year the current Secretary of State or Minister for Higher Education has led our list of eminent speakers from UK and global universities, the public sector, and from industry.
This year, Secretary of State Vince Cable will give the plenary address. Other speakers include John Cridland, Director-General of the CBI; Professor Iain Gray, CEO, Technology Strategy Board; Sir Roger Bone, President, Boeing United Kingdom Limited; and Prof Rod Coombs, Deputy President and Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Manchester. The head of our business school, Martin Binks, is leading one session on innovation.
As in previous years, the venue will be the East Midlands Conference Centre on University Park in Nottingham. All who register before 20 January can claim a 20% discount on the full delegate price.
