ABS Call for Committee Members
Further to our announcement of the new strategic plan and membership benefits, we are seeking expressions of interests for new committee members to contribute their time, participate in and support committee decisions in steering the new strategic plan.
The steering committees provide an essential avenue via which the ABS can strengthen inter-institutional activity and provide fora for the development of longer term policy positions and consultation responses. We are seeking expressions of interests for the following four committees:
Learning, Teaching and Student Experience Committee
Executive Development Committee
Senior Managers’ Committee
International and External Relations sub-committee.
Committee members are drawn from the Voting Membership or from relevant experienced individuals employed at the Member Institution (including, but not exclusively, Pro-Vice-Chancellors, Associate Deans, Heads of Teaching and Learning, Heads of Department). Non-Voting Members presenting themselves for nomination must have the support of the Voting Member of the Member Institution.
All committee nominations will be considered by the Chairs of the Committees, approved by the Chair of ABS. New committee appointments will be made by the end of this year. Members selected for committees will begin a three year term – with the possibility of one further term. If you are interested in serving on one of the committees, please submit your interest to Vicky Reid by 30 September 2012.
